Hole #10

Otterkill #10 from 150 yards.jpg

This very difficult 428 yard par 4 plays much longer than it's yardage.  The fairway runs gently uphill and a large tree protects the green from right side approaches.  The green is quite large so choosing the correct club for the hole location is very important. Par is a good score here.

Hole #11

This 382 yard par 4 requires an accurate tee shot to a landing area bordered by a pond on the left and a creek that runs across the fairway.  The large green slopes significantly from back to front.  Do not miss the green to the right as there is a steep fall off that makes getting up and down difficult.

Hole #12

This 489 yard par 5 is a test of course management.  Hit driver and you may have a chance to reach the green in two by hitting over the trees, play it more conventionally and you should be able to hit a short iron approach with your third shot.  Anything over the green stands a chance of running down the steep hill and into a pond.

Hole #13

This beautiful 197 yard par 3 is Otterkill's signature hole. Large sand traps to the left and right guard the sloped green.  Out of bounds lurks to the left of the green so the right-hand trap is very much in play.

Hole #14

Otterkill #14 approach.jpg

The 523 yard par 5 dogleg left is a birdie hole but it is still very dangerous.  Out of bounds lines the entire left hand side of the hole, and an approach hit long or right may bound down the hill under a tree or out of bounds. Play the hole conservatively and you should make par.  Take a risk and eagle is a possibility.
